Monday Matriarch Devotions
Pray without ceasing.
As a mom there are days when all you do is troubleshoot and problem solve, like nonstop.
I confess that historically I have solely relied upon my own strength, reason and resources to solve most of the problems I encounter in a day.
I know that these assets are gifts from the Lord meant for wise use in overcoming life’s difficulties, and I am thankful for my abilities.
I ALSO know that I don’t have His wisdom and insight to always use said abilities in the most effective way or in the right spirit.
I also confess that sometimes I forget that my competency comes from Him in the first place, and decide to rely on it before going to Lord in prayer.
My gifts, brains, tenacity and competency are all better put to use when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Fortunately you and I have a direct line to said manufacturer.
He knows exactly what troubles we face today and what solutions will work best and how to make us more holy in the process.
Even if the trials were meant for evil, He will use them for growth and to work all things for our benefit. (Rom. 8:28)
